The Love Of The Father
There are many different ways that we can know God. We can know him as the creator, or we can know him as the man who has a white beard and sits on a cloud commanding the sun to rise up or the omnipotent being who parts the sea, who raised the dead to life, or someone so distant that it is impossible be concerned or care about our life. Different people have different ideas who God is? I want to take you to a garden, and see this face bow down before a Holy Father in prayer because he is about to defeat the cross, and you see him praying and what does he say three times in the prayer? Holy father, Holy father, Holy father, who is God? God is your Holy Father, through a mighty prayer he obtained the power to overcome the pain that he was about to face.
King David wrote in Psalm 27:10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.
When we think about this song, David starts talking about his confidence and love for God. He begins to pray even if, even though my earthly father rejected or abandoned me, I know that God will never forsake me. This word “forsake” means, abandoned or left. That’s the same word that Jesus cried out to the Father at the cross, my God my God why have you forsaken me, he was forsaken for a time so we never ever be forsaken. Jesus came a new way to know God, through him we didn’t just receive a savior we were given a Father, Jesus always reminded us the way he feels about us, someone who cares, he is not distant, he is madly in love with us.
Your heavenly Father loves everything about you, He calls you a masterpiece, he is so proud of you. He smiles at you. He loves you
